ATHCA Surveying is a Florida land surveying, mapping, and geospatial firm. We pair the experience of a large firm with the speed and personal service of a small one.
Built on field experience
ATHCA Surveying, Aerial, Terrestrial, Hydrographic Cartographics of America, was founded to give Florida property owners accurate survey data without the delays of a large firm. The work spans three disciplines: aerial mapping from current UAV and sensor platforms, terrestrial surveys measured on the ground, and hydrographic surveys of navigable water.
Leadership
The firm is led by Russell S. Strayer, a Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper, License No. 6890, and a University of Florida Geomatics graduate with 22 years in the field. That background covers boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction work across residential and commercial property.
How we work
Projects run on current technology: UAV and LiDAR for aerial data, robotic total stations and GNSS for ground work, and bathymetric systems for water. You get accurate data, clear drawings, and reports you can hand to an engineer, a contractor, or a county reviewer.

Background and credentials
Russell S. Strayer is a Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper, License No. 6890, and a Geomatics graduate of the University of Florida. He has spent 22 years surveying across Florida, from single-lot boundary work to multi-parcel commercial and coastal projects. ATHCA is his firm, and he signs and seals every survey it delivers.
How the firm runs
ATHCA stays small on purpose. You scope the work with the surveyor, the field data is collected with RTK GPS, UAV photogrammetry, robotic total stations, and hydrographic equipment, and the same licensed surveyor reviews and seals the final drawing. One person is accountable for the result, which is the way surveying worked before call centers, and the way clients still prefer it.
